Disconnect to Reconnect
I believe the springtime is a beautiful time to start to plant the seeds we might have been dreaming up during the bitter cold winter months. If you didn't take the time to slow down with mother nature and tune inwards you might be feeling extra feelings as we approach spring. That's not good or bad just noticing what comes up for you around that.
For myself the spring is a time I do enjoy going on a cleanse of sorts. I will keep my diet very simple for a week, I will take a break off social media, and make space to do more inward practices. For me that week will be next week which is also a full moon on the 31st of March. A great time to go in.
I also want to talk about other ways we can disconnect. Disconnect from the "shoulds" western society tells us in terms of the scale, what our workouts look like, how we are supposed to be go, go, go all the time.
It's something I shared over on Instagram last week in a few different posts that all go under the theme of disconnecting to reconnect back to ourselves.

How often do we fly through our days and never even paused to connect with our bodies? I’ve been guilty of this in the past.
I discovered Ayurveda after throwing up every Friday evening at work due to exhaustion. I realized I was on a crash course to disease and I was only 28..
The 28 year old version of me would never have made the shifts I’ve made since finding Ayurveda. I was working out 90 minutes a day, never took time to slow down, I wrote clip my fingernails on my to do list.. 🤯 and couldn’t stand the silence of being by myself.
Yesterday I did a 30 minute infrared sauna in silence, a 30 minute yoga nidra practice, a 15 meditation practice and 10 minute breathwork practice. Tons of space to be in silence and be with myself and my breath. I would never had thought these things to be valuable 10 years ago.
I’m super passionate about showing people you, you can reach your wellness goals and it can look different than what is currently presented. More is not always better, learning to sit with yourself is valuable, reframing your goals from what you want not from the “shoulds” you see around you.
