Celebrating your birthday with a ritual

This past birthday I shared a quick snippet of what I was going to do for my birthday. I had it saved in an Evernote file on my computer for 3 years. I had yet to try the ritual. 2020 was going to be the year as it's been a rough year and I was ready for a little celebrating.

Supplies

  • Epsom salt, candles, music
  • Tea light candles in the amount of years you’ve been on this earth & a tray
  • Your fav. music playlist
  • Your fav. incense
  • A bouquet of your fav. flowers
  • New PJ’s
  • Freshly made bed
  • Old & recent photos
  • Your journal from the past year
  • Champagne
  • A beautifully wrapped gift from your authentic self
  • Tarot deck

Ritual

  • Distinguish the birthday of your life in a special way.

  • Take a soothing bath, symbolically washing away any of the past years pain, sorrow, regrets, mistakes & guilt.

  • Light a small candle for each year put them on a tray or around your bedroom or special room in your house. (I did my office)

  • Put on your fav. playlist & light your fav. incense & have your fav. bouquet of flowers next to your bed

  • Put on brand new PJ’s & get into bed or spread a special cloth on the floor and decorate it like an altar.

  • Offer a personal gratitude for your life. As the candles burn, reflect on your personal journey so far. Look through old & new photos. Read through parts of your journal & remember all the wonderful moments from the past year.

  • Ask for a birthday gift that only God/Goddess can bestow.

  • Have a glass of champagne, wine or cacao & open the perfect gift you’ve beautifully wrapped for yourself.

  • Do a birthday tarot spread you can find one by googling.

  • Journal and reflect on the upcoming year, any resolutions or hopes, aspirations, dreams you want to see into fruition.

  • Birthdays are new beginning & also moments of personal closure. Only you know the last year you’ve lived & what you need.

I hope you enjoy that beautiful birthday ritual and spend some time reflecting on the wonderful accomplishes you've had on your life while dreaming into the future you.
