I love a good yoga teacher training but...
I personally have taken thousands of hours of yoga teacher training, Ayurveda schooling and other continuing education programs. What I found missing was the in-between.
Where are the programs for those who want to deepen their yoga or Ayurveda practice but do not want to commit to a year long yoga teacher training?
→You might have been eyeing the local yoga studios wondering if this training is right for you but it might be too advanced or requires yoga training.
→You want to deepen your own yoga practice but you don't know where to start and the limited time you have with a teacher after class just isn't cutting it.
→ You're intrigued by Ayurveda but don't quite understand how it will actually look in your life.
Instead of over committing yourself to a 200hr yoga teacher training program find the middle ground where you can deepen your yoga and Ayurvedic wisdom.
→Stop spending thousands of dollars on a yoga teacher training when you don't even know if you want to teach.
→ Stop wasting time on practices you don't need to know if you're not going to teach yoga.
→Stop investing in programs that give you no access to one on one time with your teacher. Often yoga teacher trainings have no alone with your teacher to get your own individualized plan. Which is how yoga was intended to be taught.
If you're looking for a bridge between a yoga teacher training program and actually learning some of the basics of yoga and Ayurveda
This is the exact reason I created the Seasonal Living Collective.
Not every student needs to commit to a yoga teacher training to deepen their yoga and Ayurveda knowledge.
What yoga students actually need is a program that gives you access to a teacher to help personalize the practices for you, and teach you the basics of Ayurveda so you can implement and embody them in your daily life.
So, why isn’t this more well-known?
The way most yoga studios make money is through there yoga teacher trainings. They push everyone to go through them. Now, I don't fault them at all but not everyone has the time or money to devote to such a program so there should be another option.
You’re about to see what it feels like to have a solution that’s actually built for busy humans looking to understand how yoga can improve their lives off the mat.
The Seasonal Living Collective is the program I built with you in mind. The person looking to deepen your yoga and Ayurveda practices without spending hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars.
So many yogis want to learn more about yoga off the mat.
Yet so few actually do because of the commitment to a yoga teacher training.
Welp. Not Anymore.
The Spring Seasonal Living Collective is unlike anything else you’ve tried, because…
- It connects you to your deeper wisdom through Ayurvedic practices made simple
- Seasonal wisdom with the shift of each season brings in new energy and new commitments learn how to tweak your own practices accordingly.
- It provides both 1:1 and group coaching aspects with an in-person retreat.
Why not take a yoga teacher training?
While it's true that a yoga teacher training (YTT) program can deepen your understanding and practice of yoga, there are several reasons why it might not be the best option if your primary goal is simply to deepen your practice:
1. Focus on Teaching Skills: Most YTT programs are designed to train individuals to become yoga instructors, focusing on teaching methodologies, anatomy, sequencing, and other aspects of leading a class. If your intention is solely to deepen your personal practice, you may find that much of the content is geared towards teaching rather than personal development.
2. Time Commitment: YTT programs can be intensive and time-consuming, often requiring several weeks or months of full-time dedication. If you're primarily interested in deepening your own practice rather than becoming a teacher, you may find the time commitment excessive.
3. Financial Investment: YTT programs can be expensive, and if your main goal is personal growth rather than a career change, you might prefer to invest your resources in other ways, such as workshops, retreats, or private lessons that are more tailored to your needs.
4. Pressure to Teach: Once you've completed a YTT program, there may be an expectation or pressure to start teaching, even if that wasn't your original intention. This can detract from your ability to focus on your own practice and personal development.
5. Different Focus: YTT programs typically cover a broad range of topics beyond just yoga asana practice, including philosophy, meditation, pranayama, and anatomy. While these are valuable areas of study, they may not align with your specific goals for deepening your practice.
Instead of a YTT program, you might consider alternative ways to deepen your yoga practice, such as:
- Taking workshops or retreats focused on specific aspects of yoga that interest you, such as meditation, philosophy, or advanced asana practice.
- Working one-on-one with an experienced yoga teacher who can provide personalized guidance and support tailored to your individual needs and goals.
- Engaging in self-study through books, online courses, or other resources that delve into the deeper aspects of yoga practice and philosophy.
- Regularly attending a variety of yoga classes taught by different instructors to gain exposure to different styles and approaches.
Ultimately, the best approach will depend on your individual preferences, goals, and circumstances.
