Dosha Love

Each dosha has their unique qualities and aspects about them. What dates, adventures, friend ideas and self-love each dosha would enjoy is different pending personality traits.

Let's dive into some basics with each dosha.

Vata Dosha

  • Creative gifts
  • Spontaneous Adventures
  • A date idea, anything that lets a vata be creative but has room to shift on a moments notice if something better comes up
  • Alone time so they can dream and let their creativity shine.
  • A good vata partner gives them space and grounds them in reality.

Pitta Dosha

  • Practical gifts
  • A well planned vacation
  • Alone time so they can tackle their to do list.
  • A date where they can learn a new skill.
  • A good partner for a pitta has a soft spot for an intense pitta to land, but also lets them lead.

Kapha Dosha

  • Thoughtful nourishing gifts.
  • A vacation with lots of rest and downtime.
  • Spending time with friends.

Self-Love for each dosha

Vata Dosha- Lover of juggling multiple things at once. You might have a day of attending a yoga class, going to coffee or tea with a friend, next going for a walk with a friend and finishing the day with a spontaneous night out depending on their mood.

Ways that will really nourish vatas

  • Abhyanga
  • Restorative yoga
  • Walks in nature
  • Have a cut off time for caffeine
  • Eating meals at the same times each day
  • Having a day a week for spontaneity or having room for spontaneity each day.

Pitta Dosha Self-Love Ideas

A pitta dosha would love to start their weekend day with a little work, a workout, a productive lunch meeting with a friend followed by a date night at the restaurant and theater tickets that they have had for months.

What really nourishes a pitta dosha

  • A morning meditation and pranayama practice
  • A workout to expel some of their excess intensity.
  • Calming practices sprinkled into their day.
  • Self-care built into their day.
  • A day of fun with no set plans but a wide open day to explore.

Kapha Dosha Self-Love

A kapha dosha might sleep in to start their weekend, head to brunch with a friend, come back for a nap, and get into a movie marathon viewing on tv.

What actually nourishes kapha

  • Getting up at their regular weekday time
  • Starting the day with a fitness class with a friend
  • Enjoy a light lunch at home
  • Doing a yoga nidra practice after lunch.
  • Going out to dinner with a friend and playing pickleball at the local courts.
