The Patriarchy & Your Menstrual Cycle

On today's podcast my guest Elaine Westcott and I chat about what the patriarchy is and how it works against your biological hormones as a woman who cycles. We also want to make sure it's clear the patriarchy doesn't mean men are bad or evil. The patriarchy is simply the structure that we have set up in society that may be outdated.

Background on Elaine

Elaine is a Certified Holistic Nutrition Consultant and "Period Peacemaker" who helps womxn and people with menstrual cycles to heal from physical and emotional pain surrounding their cycles.
She has a  biology research background, and enjoys reading journal articles to investigate the "why" behind our health practices. With a functional medicine approach, her goal is to help her clients uncover the root cause of their symptoms and support the body's innate ability to heal itself.
Elaine works with clients all over the world, both individually and in the Period Peacemaker group program.
