Self-care during the ovulation phase of your cycle is a fun one! We are approaching our highest hormonal point in our cycle. You might feel a surge of energy, and feeling like connecting with everyone and doing all the things. Now is the time to make sure you don't over do it so plan accordingly. Say no if it's a no, but enjoy the events you have on your calendar.

Take a risk
Now is the time to doing something spontaneous. What have you been feeling called to try, but for fear of judgement you might have shied away from? Have you wanted to try a pottery class but felt you would be a little shy, or embarrassed sign up for that class, do the thing.
Express yourself
Enjoy time with your partner or solo in the bedroom
Yep, our libido is typically the highest at this time in the month, so let off a little steam in the bedroom with yourself or a partner.
Don’t over schedule yourself
We have the energy but we want that energy to continue. Don't overbook yourself by saying yes, to all the things that are on your plate. This will leave you feeling a bit defeated, and low energy throughout the month.
Pre-cook or freeze meals for late autumn and winter phase
Now is the time to cook meals ahead of time so you can just unfreeze soup in a pan on day 1 of your cycle. You can have things on hand so you don't have to stand and cook every meal during the phase with your lowest energy. If you don't like that idea- plan a few crockpot meals instead that you can just throw together in a pinch when you have lower energy.
Earthing
Yes, we have energy but sometimes Ayurvedically speaking we can tip into the high vata energy. Make sure you take a few minutes to stand outside barefoot depending on the season and just ground yourself, bonus points if you want to lay down in the grass. This can help your body stay present to what is going on and not live to far into the future.
4 square breath
Another grounding practice so you don't get to out of balance 4 square breath. Inhale for a count of 4, hold at the top for a count of 4, exhale for 4, hold at the bottom for a count of 4. Do this when you feel a bit to energized and need a little embodiment practice.
