Pregnancy & Postpartum Wellness Tips

I met Dr. Cassie through a mutual friend and former podcast guest- Liz Summers. I've had the pleasure of stopping by and meeting Dr. Cassie at her chiropractic office here in Minnesota before the pandemic hit. One of Dr. Cassies focal points in her practice is women's wellness. I wanted to bring her on today to share tips on breathing deeper as most of us are wearing masks quite a bit, and pre/postpartum wellness tips to help moms stay pain free.

BACKGROUND ON Dr. Cassie McGuire

Dr. Cassie has been serving families for over 9 years. She loves all things relating to holistic health. She is always learning so she can help better serve her patients and community. She has extensive training and studies in the Gonstead Method of Chiropractic. She has post graduate studies in pediatric and pregnancy care, including the Webster technique for pregnant women. Also, she has completed a certificate in craniosacral training.
This training is helpful for babies with tetherered oral tissues such as tongue and lip ties that seems to be so commonly found now. In fact, both of her sons had these revisions which led her to study it further. She checks babies for this to help avoid future problems and provides the proper referral when needed.
Her passion is taking care of families, especially women and children. She loves helping women restore and maintain health before, during and after pregnancy. After going through two pregnancies, she knows how beneficial Chiropractic care is during this important time for women. She is passionate about sharing knowledge and resources with patients. She is always grateful for a mother trusting her to check her newborn baby!
Dr. Cassie is a proud mom to two boys (Tyler and Cole) and has been married to her husband, Brad, for over 10 years. Outside of seeing patients, she loves spending time with her family, doxie named Bentley, playing sand volleyball, strength training, running, yoga, going on walks, & traveling. Also, spending time in nature helps keep her grounded! She has enjoyed being involved with the Bloomington community for over ten years.
EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
Dr. Cassie McGuire graduated from St. Cloud State University with a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Chemistry. She then attended Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. Also, she has completed the Academy of Chiropractic Philosophers Program and further went on to obtain her Diplomate in Philosophical Chiropractic Standards.
While in Chiropractic school, she began extensively studying the Gonstead Method of Chiropractic. She has taken additional courses in pediatric and pregnancy. Dr. Cassie’s passion for chiropractic extends to all generations. She cares for infants, children, adults, and pregnant women.
She is the co-founder of Twin Cities Holistic Collaborative.

LEarn My Story

My mission is to help women learn how to slow down, tune in and connect to their inner wisdom using Movement, Mindfulness and Mother Nature as their guide.

Ayurveda transformed my life after the birth of my first son in 2016 and I have made it my life's work to help others learn the healing benefits of Ayurvedic medicine ever since!

I host a weekly podcast, Peaceful Power Podcast and have written two cyclical living books- Divine Body Wisdom and Ayurvedic Approach to Healing Your Menstrual Cycle.

My other interests are playing tennis, watching the Hallmark Channel, and enjoying my morning cup of coffee. I also love exploring my favorite nature trail with my two boys and hubby.

I've been an Ayurvedic Wellness counselor, 500 HR Yoga Teacher and Personal trainer since 2007.
