Menstrual Cycle Tips For On The Go Women
Life is very cyclical in nature. We have 4 seasons, 4 phases of the menstrual cycle, 4 major lunar cycles. They all sync up with each other.
I think this is something we might have felt as a child but often lose sight of as we get older. We live in the summer/ovulation/full moon cycle most of the year. “The push”, “go, go, go”, “there is never enough time to finish anything” cycle.
I work primarily with pitta women. What does that mean? They are type A, get things done, don’t waste time, boss women.
That’s in the fabric of who I am as well so it’s no surprise I attract similar people.
One thing I have done through the years is soften my edge. I no longer work 7 days a week 5am-10pm. That left me burnt out, throwing up every Friday due to stress and needing to write clip my finger nails on my to do list! 🤦🏼♀️
Now I’m very much in control of my schedule. I see clients 3 days a week and have days to tap into my creative spark, see my friends for coffee dates, spend half a day on my favorite hiking trail. I live seasonally, and tap into my own cycle.
Some of my favorite client wins are seeing my pitta women start to loosen their grip on things. Realizing rest is important, and taking a bath after a long day is not being lazy but prioritizing their own needs.
That’s why I love teaching seasonal/cyclical living.
Showing other go-getters it’s okay to not always live in the summer phase, we need winter to remind us to slow down.
What phase do you find yourself living in right now? Are you tuning into the external season (winter) or are you in your internal (menstrual cycle) season? I do a combo of both but my internal season is really my thermostat these days. 🩸
