In Ayurveda the first 42 days is a time to

Nourish the Mother

Sounds amazing right?

Ayurveda says the first 42 days postpartum will indicate your health for the next 42 years. It's such a profound time in a women's life but often we lack the support to help us truly heal, thrive and connect deeply with our little one.

That is where a postpartum doula can help you thrive, heal and bond with your little one. Postpartum doulas are here to make your life easier and help you heal your vata dosha the first year postpartum.

Real Talk

The postpartum period is hard and we don't always have the support we need to thrive.

The 4 pillars of Ayurvedic Postpartum Care...

Enter Ayurveda which completely shifted my path. I created space to rest, nourish and readjust to my life as a new mama.

Now as a mama of two little ones my passion in life is to help other new mamas feeling deeply nourished in their postpartum eras!

After the birth of my first son in 2016 I felt tired, depleted and didn't quite know who I was anymore. I even tried to rush back to work 10 days postpartum to prove I was the same person.

The reality though, my life was forever changed in the most magical way. But, I had so much anxiety I missed a lot of those special early memories worried about the future and unable to land back in my body.

I'm familiar with your story because it was my story too!

Andrea here!

It's time to mother the mother like our ancestors did

In Ayurveda the mother needs rest, nourishment and routines.

You will get home cooked meals, abhyanga massage, herbal beverages, custom bath blends, flower essence, and yoga nidra to help you relax and recover.

All mamas deserve a little help, you shouldn't have to do it all

That's why I'm SO passionate about postpartum healing.

#3

Herbal support is based on what your needs are which could be foods, beverages, flower essence, or bath blends. All will be created to help you find your hormonal balance again.

Herbs

Ayurveda follows a mostly meat free diet the initial weeks postpartum and slowly introduces foods that might be harder to digest as your agni (digestion) gets stronger. All foods are warm & cooked to keep mama nourished and replenished after birth.

I will provide you the foods to calm the vata dosha energy, keep your digestion strong, and space for you to bound and be with baby.

Nourishment

#2

The initial 6 weeks take time to slow down following the 5x5x5 rule. Yoga nidra, meditation, baths, yoni steams, womb basti are all ways I introduce ancient healing techniques to help you rest.

Massage

Abhyanga is vital in the first 42 days postpartum for new mamas. It helps reduce anxiety, ground the mind, and reduce dryness in the body. I will teach you how to do massage for yourself as well as provide abhyanga massage when I'm there.

I didn't know much about Ayurveda but, Andrea guided me effortlessly through practices that left me feeling nourished and having a bit of energy.

People are talking...

Katy

I loved having the support in the initial postpartum window. I felt nourished with the meals & herbal support I received form Andrea.

Kelly

I loved the teas, food and just getting to rest. I felt taken care of and like I was getting a warm hug each time Andrea came.

Nope. Those are all included in the cost that I will provide for you. I also will provide more unique Ayurvedic herbs needed in your cooking so you don't need to worry about where to find more obscure herbs.

Do I need to pay extra for the teas, oils, and bath blends?

I give you a list of foods needed to purchase and you provide the groceries each week.

Who provides the groceries?

A lot of people will book around 30 weeks of pregnancy and sometimes early postpartum if things get overwhelming.

When should I hire a postpartum doula?
