I discovered Laura Bruner through her podcast The Modern Mamas podcast. I then checked out her work on her blog and on Instagram and fell in love with what she was doing. She is a new mama who has a passion for teaching women how to properly train during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Along with being passionate about fitness she is also a fan of practical nutrition tips that we discuss on the show today.

Background on Laura

Laura Bruner is a Certified CrossFit Trainer, a Certified Nutrition Consultant, the BIRTHFIT Santa Cruz Regional Director, and new mama to Evie Wilder. She's the face and mind behind Radical Roots where she offers real food recipes and insights on health and wellness, along with one-on-one and group fitness and nutrition programs. She is also one of the voices of The Modern Mamas Podcast, along with her friend Jess, providing a safe space for open dialogue about empowered pregnancy, labor, delivery, parenthood, and everything in between. Laura lives in Santa Cruz, California with her husband, daughter, and two pups where they enjoy the ocean, redwoods, sunshine, and amazing local food.
