Ayurvedic Postpartum Care
Becoming a mother is one of the most profound transitions in a woman’s life and yet, in our modern culture, the postpartum period is often overlooked, rushed, or seen as something to “bounce back” from. In Ayurveda, however, these first 40 days after birth are considered sacred. A time of deep nourishment, rest, and care that sets the foundation for a mother’s long-term health and vitality.
In today’s episode of the Peaceful Power Podcast, I’m joined by Christine Eck, founder of the Center for Sacred Window Studies, to explore the wisdom of Ayurvedic postpartum care. Christine shares how the ancient practices of warmth, nourishment, and gentle support can transform not only a mother’s recovery but also her relationship with herself, her baby, and her community.
