Ayurveda, an ancient system of healing, focused on holistic wellness. The workshop provides you with a comprehensive approach to postpartum care, addressing not only the physical but also the emotional and spiritual aspects of recovery.
What does Ayurveda say?
Ayurvedic postpartum care emphasizes creating a nurturing environment that fosters a strong bond between the mother and the baby. Practices such as massage, warm oil treatments, and rituals encourage this connection.
Ayurveda recognizes the emotional and mental aspects of postpartum recovery. It provides practices and strategies to promote emotional well-being, which is considered essential for overall health.
Ayurvedic postpartum care emphasizes the importance of personalization. It recognizes that each individual has a unique constitution (prakriti) and tailors postpartum practices and remedies to match the mother's specific needs.
Ayurveda is a holistic system of medicine that considers the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of an individual. It focuses on balancing the body's energies (doshas) and using natural remedies, herbs, and nutrition to promote overall wellness.

The importance of new mothers being nourished cannot be overstated. Nourishment not only aids in physical recovery but also supports emotional well-being, breastfeeding, and long-term health. It is a fundamental aspect of postpartum care that should be a top priority for both the mother and her support system.
well, this sounds amazing.

This one can be tricky for many. Salads are cold and hard to digest and leftovers have lost the prana needed for new moms to really feel nourished.
Ayurveda is all about healing and it takes time. Learning to slow down to heal is vital from an Ayurvedic lens.
If you want to be at the grocery store 10 days postpartum, if you feel the need to be out and show everyone your fine this is not the approach to you.
You want to rely on ibuprofen, salads and working out two weeks postpartum.
but will this work for me?
Prioritizing nourishment is a form of self-care. It sends the message that the new mother values her own health and well-being, which can have a positive impact on self-esteem and self-confidence.
It can help prevent postpartum complications, improve immune function, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases later in life.
Adequate nourishment helps replenish energy levels, ensuring that the mother can meet the demands of her baby and her own recovery.
Proper nourishment provides the essential nutrients needed for the body to recover, repair tissues, and regain strength.
but will this work for me?
I had my first baby in 2016 and I did everything wrong to actually heal postpartum. I couldn't wait to get back to life before baby. I coached a tennis match 10 days postpartum because I couldn't handle the idea of resting and that I wasn't capable of doing what I did before.
I rushed back to working out and ended up tearing a glute muscle. I was only able to breastfeed for three months as my supply dried up since I worked out and went back to work 5 weeks postpartum.
Fast forward to 2023 and baby #2 I had a complete transformation in what I wanted to happen. I gave myself 42 days to recover the Ayurvedic way. I had my husband cook my warm Ayurvedic meals, I stayed home for almost 6 weeks. I stayed in bed for 2 weeks. Mentally, physically and emotionally I recovered so much faster, and felt so much better by giving myself space to be nourished vs feeling like I needed to wear a cape to get all of the things done.

ok, let's recap!
I have a question...
Yes, no matter how many babies you've had there is always room for improvement in the postpartum self-care practices for you! Each time I think we aim to do it just a little bit more nourishing for mama.
All of these practices will apply to c-section or vaginal births. Some practices will need to be modified and will be stated how to during the workshop.
Yes! You will be emailed the recording within 24 hours. You can rewatch and email Andrea with any questions you have if you can't make it live.
Ideally you use the 1:1 coaching call during the first 42 days postpartum to make adjustments to your ideal plan. As life never follows a plan to a T and sometimes it's nice to have someone help you make those adjustments during this precious time.
That is your choice. I will just provide you the guidance and some practices will really stick out for you to do while others you might not feel as called to do. The beauty of Ayurveda is it's our own unique medicine in how we utilize it.
With this Wisdom, you can.
i'm all in.

To say Andrea changed my life wouldn't be giving her enough credit. I've worked with my fair share of coaches before, but none of them would've had any idea what to do during and after pregnancy. Andrea helped set myself up for a smooth postpartum transition and it was the height of 2020. I couldn't have done it without her support!
