Ayurveda says the first 42 days postpartum will indicate your health for the next 42 years. It's such a profound time in a women's life but often we lack the support to help us truly heal, thrive and connect deeply with our little one.

That is where a postpartum doula can help you thrive, heal and bond with your little one. Postpartum doulas are here to make your life easier and help you heal your vata dosha the first year postpartum.

The postpartum period is hard and we don't always have the support we need to thrive.

real talk.

You're tired, depleted and aren't quite sure who you are any more.

Those were my feelings in the postpartum phase. I felt a bit lost, underprepared and not ready for how exhausted I would feel after my first son was born.

That is how I discovered Ayurveda. I knew something needed to shift in my life. My resting is bad mentality was running me ragged those first twelve weeks postpartum.

Learn how to nourish yourself during the postpartum time period using Ayurveda

Ayurveda (which literally translates to the wisdom of life) originated in India over 5000 years ago and it's ancient wisdom is still vital in today's world.

The first six weeks postpartum Ayurveda says is the sacred window to help heal your mind, body and soul. It's a time to be mindful of the vata dosha and help you nourish your tissues after giving birth.

4 Pillars of Ayurvedic Postpartum Care

  1. Rest
  2. Nourishment
  3. Herbs
  4. Massage

— Katy I.

"I loved having the support in the initial postpartum window. I felt nourished with the meals & herbal support I received form Andrea."

Your little one's nervous system is heavily tied to yours especially those first six weeks postpartum. If you can feel nourished and restored baby will feel rested and supported.

Ayurvedic postpartum doulas typically work with mamas and their families those initial six-eight weeks postpartum. That will help you set up the foundation for how you want the rest of the postpartum experience to flow.

Since I'm also a personal trainer that specializes in pre/postpartum fitness I also offer a return to exercise program after those initial six to eight weeks if that is something of interest to you as well.

And you might feel guilty if you take time for yourself

Often mamas pour their time and energy into every part of their life except taking care of themselves.

  • Support during the crucial first 42 days postpartum.

ok, let's recap!

— Shelley B.

"I've been looking for a new way to deal with some gut health issues and practicing Ayurveda has been so helpful! Andrea's knowledge and suggestions have been both easy and hard overall and learning more about the body and how we just need to listen to what it is trying to tell us. I am working on taking better care of what foods I take in and noticing how they affect me. Andrea is a very positive voice to run my questions by and I am so grateful for her caring and calming nature. I look forward to exploring more about Ayurveda especially about the lunar phases and as a good compliment with my yoga practice."
